Alphonsa Ashram

The Babupara community which was started in the year 1988 was shifted to Patra on 16th July, 1994. But the sisters continued to teach in Babupara School and used to go to Patra on every weekend. It caused a lot of inconvenience to the sisters. So the Provincial Council decided to make it an independent community. The house was named as Alphonsa Ashram and it was declared as an independent community on 15th June, 2014. The sisters are engaged in the educational and pastoral activities.
